What supported means
- It plays in that sound. Any score can play back as any instrument on the list, or on a drum kit, so a flute part can be heard on a clarinet.
- The coach knows your instrument. On trombone it gives the slide position for each note, on trumpet, euphonium and tuba the valves, on guitar, bass and ukulele the fret and string, and on violin, viola and cello the string and finger in first position. These are worked out from the notes, not guessed.
- The rest get advice on the notes. For keys, woodwinds, French horn, harp and voice, the coach answers about the notes themselves and suggests a common fingering where there is one.
Scanning your part
Sheetly reads standard printed notation, so a part for any of these instruments can be scanned: single-line parts in treble, bass, alto or tenor clef, and piano music on two staves. Guitar tab and chord diagrams are not read. Which marks it reads is on the symbols page.
